VMWare Server Free!

VMWare has released VMWare Server for free, a product that I can install on Linux or Windows for testing. Here is the VMWare comparison chart, and as you can see, this is not crippleware, it has many features available in the full product. For a small business, this is great news, as now you can setup a test server, running Linux as the host OS, with Windows as guests, and create a test lab environment for the cost of hardware (and any Windows OS licenses, of course). Whos doesn't like free software? The irony is that we use Virtual Server Enterprise R2 in our shop (We just upgraded to R2), and I have been creating several test virtual machines over the past few days, to begin testing our Exchange migration. MS Exchange is now supported in a production environment running on VS R2.
